Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
What does the GT+ manual say about seat and handlebar adjustment?
It marks seat fore/aft positions 1–7, seat height 1–17, handlebar height 1–9 and handlebar fore/aft positions 1–7. Those are cockpit adjustment indices, not resistance levels or rider-height measurements; the manual does not give travel distances or a fitting range.
What weight and room-space limits are stated for the GT+ family?
The manual states a 300 lb maximum user weight. It recommends two feet around the bike and separately gives a 19.7 in minimum at one side and either in front or behind. It publishes no assembled body length/width, so the safety-space figures cannot prove a room footprint.
Does the GT+ manual establish automatic resistance, a screen, or a current US offer?
No. Echelon's FitOS article identifies GT+ as manual-resistance equipment that does not receive automatic resistance changes in Worlds. The manual lists a tablet mount but does not establish an integrated screen or included device. Its ECH-GT-PL code identifies the manual family, not an exact current US retail offer or package.
This assessment is about Echelon's separate GT+ instruction-manual family, not a test of a particular unit. The official support index lists “Connect GT+ Bike Manual” as a distinct entry from the GT manual. The linked 96-page file contains English, French and Spanish sections; its English cover says Echelon GT+ Instruction Manual, and the English warranty panel identifies ECH-GT-PL and revision 061021. That code is evidence about the manual, not a verified US retail SKU, serial range or package.
A tablet mount and a more explicit adjustment map
The manual depicts a seated indoor cycle with a tablet mount, saddle, handlebars, pedals and a hand-operated resistance knob. Its parts list names a dumbbell holder, water-bottle holder, power adapter and power cord as well as the bike components. Those are items named in the document, not a guarantee that an individual used listing still has every component or that dumbbell weights are included. The manual does not document an integrated touchscreen, screen size, device inclusion or an exact seller bundle.
One useful distinction is the manual's indexed cockpit map: it labels seat fore/aft positions 1–7, seat height 1–17, handlebar height 1–9 and handlebar fore/aft positions 1–7. These numbers describe adjustment positions, not resistance settings. They also do not say how many inches of travel each position represents or which rider heights will fit. Use them to understand how the manual says the cockpit adjusts, not as a fitting range.
The corresponding GT manual names model ECH-GT, carries revision 040221, and does not list a dumbbell holder or publish the same numbered adjustment-position guidance. That establishes differences between these documents and their printed model codes. It does not show whether every GT+ package is physically identical, whether an accessory was optional, or which variation was sold in a particular US store.
Manual control and a 300 lb ceiling
The GT+ instructions show a knob turned left or right to change resistance and pressed down to stop the bike. Echelon's FitOS article also names GT+ as equipment with manual resistance for which its Worlds workouts do not automatically change resistance. The GT+ manual does not state a numbered resistance count or identify the physical resistance mechanism, so the adjustment-position scales above must not be mistaken for “levels.” A hard minimum resistance setting cannot be inferred from these documents.
The manual directs owners to install Echelon Fit for tutorials and operating instructions and includes an older account-creation flow that asks the reader to choose a plan. That describes the document's setup path; it does not promise current membership terms, included membership, support for Zwift/JRNY/Explore the World, or app-independent operation. Ask a seller which device and service plan are actually included, then check current terms directly before treating the manual as a subscription offer.
The GT+ safety section sets a 300 lb maximum. It recommends two feet of clearance on all sides for safe mounting and dismounting and separately specifies a minimum 19.7 inches at one side and either in front or behind. These are access directions, not footprint measurements. The inspected English manual publishes no assembled length, width, height or machine weight, and it gives no rider-height range. Measure the exact unit and route through the home instead of converting the clearance figures into a product dimension.
Why this is not yet a current US buying match
The final manual page's one-year limited warranty belongs to revision 061021. It cannot tell a shopper whether a specific unit is still covered, whether coverage transfers or what a current seller includes. Check the frame label for ECH-GT-PL, match the unit to its paperwork, and inspect the adapter, pedals, tablet mount and accessory hardware. The manual's code alone does not identify a sale offer or production date.
The official Echelon US Connect Bikes and all-products snapshots checked for this research list EX-8s, EX-5s-22 and EX-5, not a GT+ card. Separately, 360 Fitness Superstore labels a full bike “Echelon GT+ Connect Bike” and presents blue, orange and purple variants. I inspected its product image: it depicts a blue-and-black GT+ with a tablet cradle, not a supplied tablet. The exact maker model code, SKU and frame serial are absent, so the page supports U.S. use of the GT+ retail name but does not establish a serial-to-ECH-GT-PL / Rev 061021 bridge. Its page and structured data do not supply a reliable price, and I make no availability claim. The retailer's 32-level/magnetic-resistance, weight, dimensions and USB details are not promoted to assessed facts because the official GT+ manual does not establish those values. The pictured blue finish is not treated as a different model or as proof that every listed color has identical contents.
This GT+ review therefore remains a model-family reference, excluded from the finder and without a purchase landing. The manual is useful when a seller claims to have an ECH-GT-PL bike because it records its adjustment method, safety ceiling and listed components. It cannot validate a particular unit, its screen, numerical resistance, dimensions, package or condition. Confirm those details from the actual bike and seller before deciding whether the family suits a room or routine.
