A useful fit for

A current flat studio-style cycle to compare when a 24-inch pivoting screen, manual resistance steps and dual-sided pedals match the planned routine.

The main tradeoff

It has no incline range, its listed maximum is 250 lb, and the 55.8 x 21.7 in body is not an operating-clearance plan. Paid iFIT Pro plus Wi-Fi are needed for the full connected experience.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does the S24 have the X24's incline and decline system?

No. The NordicTrack Studio Series comparison gives the S24 no incline range, while the separate X24 Bike has -10% decline to 20% incline. They share a 24-inch display and 24 resistance levels, but the X24's moving frame and handlebar controls are not attributes of the flat S24 configuration.

What does the S24's 250 lb listing tell me?

NordicTrack lists a 250 lb maximum user weight for the S24. That is the manufacturer's specified limit, not a rider-specific comfort or safety assessment. Compare the label and exact instructions for the offered model, and do not transfer the X24's 350 lb value just because the products share a series page.

Is a paid iFIT subscription required for every S24 ride?

The product and series sources describe manual workouts separately from the full connected experience. The manufacturer also says a free account is required to activate equipment and that paid iFIT Pro plus Wi-Fi are required for the full features. Verify the current account, subscription and streaming terms before relying on specific content.

A flat studio setup, not an incline bike

The current NordicTrack U.S. product page and category identify the S24 Studio Bike, model NTEX24125. NordicTrack’s comparison page places it beside the X24, and the key distinction is movement: the S24 is a flat studio bike with no incline range, while X24 tilts through a 10-percent decline to 20-percent incline. The S24 still has 24 resistance levels and a 24-inch pivoting touchscreen, so the shared screen and level count can obscure the difference if the names are skimmed quickly. Check the exact SKU and frame description on the seller offer before comparing features.

The manufacturer lists the S24 at 55.8 by 21.7 by 61.5 inches and a 250-pound maximum user weight. The smaller body than X24 can be useful for a room plan, but it does not establish a personal fit or safe access path. NordicTrack lists 143 pounds as in-box product weight, not assembled weight. A heavy carton can affect stairs, door turns and assembly decisions even when the final floor footprint looks manageable.

Screen-led resistance and iFIT conditions

The comparison describes the S24’s resistance controls as digital controls on the touchscreen. Its product page advertises trainer-led sessions with resistance that adjusts during iFIT workouts. NordicTrack separately describes manual workouts as available without a paid membership, while the exact product page says a free iFIT account and agreement to terms are needed for equipment activation. Paid iFIT Pro and Wi-Fi are required for the full on-equipment content and connected features. That distinction matters to buyers who want simple manual rides but do not want to treat the large display as an account-free entertainment tablet.

The source pages list synchronization with Strava, Garmin Connect and Apple Health, plus Bluetooth headphone and heart-rate connectivity. These are not the same as the three named training apps in this site’s finder. The reviewed current S24 sources do not establish Explore the World, JRNY or Zwift as S24 training connections, so the app choices remain open rather than inferred from Bluetooth. Streaming access may depend on both iFIT and separate service subscriptions. Confirm the exact app, device, account and Wi-Fi requirements if any named platform is central to the purchase.

What the feature list does and does not promise

Twenty-four listed resistance levels create a repeatable count for this model; they are not a standardized workload measurement across brands. A product’s level number does not reveal a watt output, a particular difficulty or how a different resistance system will feel. The S24’s flat studio geometry and touchscreen control scheme describe an intended use format but do not guarantee the seat reach or handlebar posture will work for a particular body. The official pages reviewed do not provide an individual height range or quantified adjustment travel, so a shopper should verify the seat and handlebar positions on the exact edition or read the correct manual.

The described dual-sided pedal arrangement has SPD-compatible cleats on one face and a toe clip/cage with strap on the other. This offers two attachment styles, but it does not mean every shoe is included or that a specific cleat is in the delivery package. NordicTrack also lists two three-pound dumbbells, an AutoBreeze fan, bottle holder, USB-C port and speakers. Confirm all included accessories against the seller’s order page; a marketplace listing, refurb offer or used bike may not contain the current package.

Fit, room and delivery checks

NordicTrack’s listed 250-pound maximum is a model limit, not a personalized assessment of fit or comfort. The 55.8-inch length and 21.7-inch width describe the assembled body. They do not include room for mounting, dismounting, pedal motion, adjustments, assembly or storage. Measure the delivery route separately from the workout space, and leave enough access to move around the bike safely. The 24-inch screen can pivot, so consider both riding and off-bike viewing positions when planning the room. Neither a smaller footprint nor a lower box weight removes the need to check doors, floors and helper requirements.

NordicTrack’s current material lists a 10-year frame, two years for parts, one year for the tablet and one year of labor. Warranty application, delivery, assembly, trial and return conditions can depend on the order and seller. Confirm the exact terms before purchase, especially for used or third-party inventory, and keep the model identifier in the service records. These details are more dependable than assuming the S24 inherits all policies from the closely related X24 page.

Who should keep the S24 on the shortlist?

The S24 is a reasonable comparison point for someone who wants a flat studio-style cycle, a large pivoting screen and a choice between two-sided pedal faces, and whose space and published weight limit work for the actual plan. It may be a poor fit when incline/decline training, a more generous published user limit, a specific named app, or membership-free screen content is essential. In those situations, compare the X24 for its moving frame or another model whose app and setup conditions are directly documented; do not assume the S24 is interchangeable with either.

This is an assessment based on NordicTrack’s current U.S. product and comparison pages. The bike was not ridden, owned, tested or independently measured for this review. No customer experience, current price or stock claim is implied.
